Reading are interested in signing Norwich forward Nelson Oliveira this month, according to Mirror Sport.
The Portugal international has fallen out of favour under manager Daniel Farke, and hasn’t played at all this season with the Canaries in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship.
A £5million signing from Benfica in the summer of 2016, the 27-year old is known to have struggled to maintain a healthy working relationship with German coach Farke, which has led to his expulsion from the first-team squad.
Now Reading are keen on bringing him to the Madejski, with compatriot coach Jose Gomes having already opened talks over a deal.
Having scored 20 goals in 70 games for the Canaries, Oliveira would add firepower to Reading’s forward unit which has struggled this season.
The Royals won their first game in 12 last weekend, beating Nottingham Forest 2-0.
