Ivo Pinto reportedly set for switch to Ankaragucu in Turkey

Norwich defender Ivo Pinto is reportedly set for a move to Turkey with Ankaragucu, according to a report on TransferMarkt.

The Portuguese defender has been unable to break past City youngster Max Aarons this season and has rarely featured for the Canaries this term.

This is despite captaining the side last season and being a mainstay in the side since his move from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016.

The report states that Ankaragucu, who play in the Turkish Superlig, are interested in a move for Pinto, and could be close to getting a deal done.

Pinto’s contract is up in the summer, and with the Portuguese defender rarely featuring for the Canaries this term, it is likely that the defender’s stay in Norfolk is coming to an end.

Caykur Rizespor are also interested in Pinto, but the report states that Pinto would prefer a move to Ankaragucu.

Bayram Bektaş, the Ankaragucu boss, reportedly is very keen on a switch for Pinto and wants to make sure that the transfer goes through this month.
