Birmingham City unlikely to secure Ben Marshall transfer

Norwich will not be letting winger Ben Marshall leave on loan in the January transfer window.

The ex-Millwall winger has barely featured for the Canaries this season, with Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth his first game since August.

As for Birmingham, their financial troubles have forced manager Garry Monk into loaning three players in Omar Bogle, Connor Mahoney and Gary Gardner, whilst acquiring the services of Lee Camp on a free transfer.

Now, the Blues have attempted to recruit another loan signing in Marshall, but reports from Birmingham Live state that the Salford-born man will not be made available, despite his lack of game time.

Marshall only signed from Wolves in the summer for £1.53m. However, Norwich sit second in the Championship, and manager Daniel Farke will be looking to keep hold of as many players as he can, as the homestretch for Premier League glory edges closer and the games become more important.
