Norwich target Rangel set to stay with QPR

Norwich target Angel Rangel is set to sign a new deal with Queens Park Rangers, amid interest from a number of different clubs.

The 36-year old right-back, who signed for QPR last summer, was set to see his contract expire in January. However, it appears that the former Swansea man is likely to re-sign with the club.

The Canaries were one of a several clubs interested in signing the Spaniard in the January window, with Nottingham Forest, DC United and New York City also interested.

Talking about his future at Loftus Road, as quoted by Mirror Online, Rangel said:

I’ve had interest from other clubs but I have to be thankful and grateful for the team that they gave that opportunity so I don’t think it would be the right move to move to another club and leave QPR behind.
