Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber has addressed claims that Southampton have made a move to appoint him.
The former Huddersfield Town chief has been heavily linked with a move to St Mary’s Stadium in recent times as the Saints aim to continue their reshaping of the infrastructure at the club.
Webber has overseen plenty of change at Norwich but has reaped the rewards of his hard work this term.
The Canaries are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Championship following a good run of form, orchestrated by manager Daniel Farke.

The sporting director was in attendance for Norwich’s AGM on Thursday night and was quizzed over speculation surrounding his future. As quoted by the Eastern Daily Press’ Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt, Webber was quick to reaffirm his commitment to the cause at Carrow Road. He said:
No, I’m happy to answer it. I had no approach. I wouldn’t welcome it. I am happy to be here.
Webber will be keen to continue Norwich’s progression this season as the club look to spring a surprise by securing promotion back to the Premier League.
