Rhodes enjoying being top of the Championship
Jordan Rhodes says that he is enjoying life with Norwich sitting top of the Championship.
Ahead of Norwich’s trip to Swansea at the weekend, the club are two points clear of second-place Middlesbrough and three points clear of Leeds in third.
Rhodes has played an important role so far this season, with eight goals in all competitions since his move to Norfolk on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
The forward recently scored an injury-time equaliser in the dramatic 4-3 win over Millwall, and scored a hat-trick against Wycombe earlier this season.
Speaking to The EDP, Rhodes said this:
It was such a bizarre game (Millwall). Sometimes those games only happen once or twice in a career, to have the ebbs and flows of the game, Mo to score a terrific goal and for it all to have gone a bit sour in maybe 20 seconds or something like that.
To then come out on top in such a dramatic game and come out here for two weeks off, just really lifted the spirits. Our spirits were quite high anyway and we’re all enjoying playing our football at the top of the table.
But to come out here and be in that number one position is quite flattering on us all and we’re enjoying every minute of it.
Rhodes is expected to start on the bench against Swansea, with top goalscorer Teemu Pukki set to lead the line.
Pukki has 10 goals for Norwich after signing on a free transfer from Danish side Brondby.
