The 36-year-old joined QPR in the summer following the expiration of his contract at Swansea City.
However, Rangel only penned a short-term deal at Loftus Road and will see his contract expire when January rolls around, meaning that he will be available on a free transfer once again.

Anderson claims that Norwich, along with fellow Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, are interested in making a move for the vastly-experienced Rangel.
The Championship duo could be faced with competition from elsewhere, though, with Anderson also stating that MLS pair DC United and New York City FC are keen.
QPR, too, are said to be interested in extending Rangel’s stay at the club following his strong start to life under Steve McClaren.
