Norwich City have confirmed that midfielder Louis Thompson has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The club have revealed that Thompson has signed a new four year deal, with the option to extend it for a fifth season.

His previous deal was set to expire at the end of this season, but the 23-year-old has been rewarded for his dedication to the cause over the past few weeks.

After battling back from a two-year injury, Thompson has played a pivotal role off the bench in a number of games – as a central midfielder, right-back and right-midfielder.

The versatile player will be hoping to break into the starting XI in the coming weeks, as he looks to hit his stride in Norwich colours.
