Norwich City have confirmed that defender Jamal Lewis has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

Lewis has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Norwich taking him to 2023 with the club, after impressing at the start of this season.

The 20-year-old missed the start of the campaign but has made 11 appearances this season, taking him to 34 first-team appearances for Norwich in his career.

He made his debut at the end of 2017, with his first start coming away to Birmingham on Boxing Day – a 2-0 win for The Canaries.

Lewis is now a full Northern Ireland international, with three caps to his name, and is in their squad for the upcoming international fixtures.

His only senior goal to date came against Chelsea in the FA Cup back in January –  a last minute goal which sent them to extra-time only to lose on penalties.
