West Brom are interested in a deal to sign Norwich City right-back Ivo Pinto ahead of the 5pm deadline.
According to The Daily Mail, West Brom will make a move for Pinto if they are unable to secure the signing of Rangers captain James Tavernier.
The report does, however, claim that Pinto would be likely to join West Brom on a loan deal.
This means that they would have until the end of the month to complete a deal for the Portuguese defender.
Pinto currently appears out-of-favour at Norwich, with Ben Marshall and Felix Passlack coming in as right-back options for Daniel Farke.
The full-back was Norwich’s captain for the majority of last season, before losing his place to on-loan Harrison Reed towards the end of the campaign.
Norwich face West Brom in their opening home match of the Championship season on Saturday.
Farke is not expected to make any additions to his Norwich squad before the deadline.
