Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams has dismissed claims that his side will look to sign Remi Matthews on loan from Norwich City again this summer.
It was reported on Friday night that Matthews had emerged as a target for Argyle, with the goalkeeper having spent last season on loan with the League One side.
Matthews enjoyed a strong campaign with Adams’ men and established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
He returned to pre-season training with Norwich as the club’s number one following Angus Gunn’s loan deal reaching its expiration. However, after a couple of mistakes, the club saw fit to land Tim Krul on a free transfer.

This appears to have sparked speculation that Matthews could be on his way out of Carrow Road once again, albeit on a temporary basis.
Plymouth are looking to sign another goalkeeper before the window slams shut, as confirmed by Adams himself, but it seems they will not be making a move for Matthews this time around.
As quoted by Plymouth Live, Adams delivered an update on whether or not the 24-year-old is a target for his side and was quick to quieten down the rumours.
No, I don’t see him being a possibility.
