Tim Krul has been speaking about how Daniel Farke’s plans for Norwich City convinced him to put pen to paper on a deal with the club.
The Dutchman signed for the Canaries on a free transfer today after seeing his short-term deal at Brighton and Hove Albion expire at the end of the recently-concluded season.
Krul was courted by several clubs but opted to join Norwich. As quoted by the club’s official website, the ex-Newcastle United star explained the reasoning behind his decision.
I spoke with the manager and people at the club and it moved very quick. That’s one of the reasons it happened fast and I like it when somebody is interested properly and they don’t mess about.

The manager rang and explained everything – what his plans were, what he expected of me – and I really liked what I was hearing. The manager said he knew what my qualities were and that he was keen to get me back to the level I was at before my injury.
Norwich boss Farke is expected to establish the experienced goalkeeper as his number one option for in-between the sticks, with Remi Matthews having failed to convince in pre-season so far.
Following the end of Angus Gunn’s loan spell at the club, it became apparent that a new goalkeeper would be something of a necessity for Norwich, with the club now securing the services of Krul.
The former Netherlands has signed a contract at Carrow Road until 2020.
