Rhodes has been heavily linked with a move to Norwich this summer, with earlier reports claiming that Sheffield Wednesday were demanding a £3m loan fee.

However, Butler has confirmed that Norwich will not be paying a loan fee as expensive as that if the deal goes through.

Rhodes has struggled at Sheffield Wednesday over the past few seasons, but proved his Championship quality with Huddersfield, Blackburn, and Middlesbrough.
