Maddison completes move to Leicester

Norwich City have officially confirmed the departure of James Maddison to Premier League side Leicester.

The club have revealed that Maddison has joined Leicester for a club-record fee, thought to be in the region of £24m.

Maddison has been heavily linked with an exit from Norwich throughout the summer, after a superb breakthrough season with the club.

The 21-year-old was involved in 36 goals for Norwich last season, with 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Maddison was named in the PFA Team of the Year, alongside the likes of Ruben Neves and Tom Cairney.

The England under-21 international is expected to replace Riyad Mahrez, who is being tipped to join champions Manchester City this summer.

Leicester are paying £22m up front, with a further £2m in performance bonuses.
