Everton set to make £18m Maddison offer

Everton are set to table an offer of £18m for Norwich City midfielder James Maddison.

According to The Mirror, Everton are ready to offer £18m, with add-ons on top of that.

The report claims that Everton and Leicester are both looking to make an offer for Maddison over the next week.

This is in an attempt to stave off interest from the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Everton are thought to be the favourites, as Norwich look to take in around £25m from the sale of Maddison.

Fulham are said to be showing an interest, although they are unlikely to match the financial strength of Leicester and Everton.

Norwich have made one signing this summer, with Emi Buendia joining from Getafe on a four-year deal.

The Argentine winger has signed for a fee thought to be in the region of £1.5m from the Spanish outfit.

Josh Murphy joined Cardiff in a £11m deal earlier this week.
