Norwich could pursue Leitner deal

Norwich City could make a move to sign Moritz Leitner on a permanent deal from Augsburg this summer.

According to the EDP, the sale of James Maddison could pave the way for Leitner to arrive at the club.

Leitner spent the second half of last season at Norwich and quickly became a favourite among the fans.

His impressive, hard-working, performances in midfielder earned himself a regular spot in Daniel Farke’s team.

James Maddison is being heavily touted with a big money move to Leicester this summer, with a fee in the region of £22m being touted.

This would be a club-record sale for Norwich and could fund the arrival of Leitner.

The German midfielder looks unlikely to force his way into the Augsburg, which could motivate him to push for a move to Norwich.

Meanwhile, Emi Buendia looks set to complete a £1.5m move to Norwich from La Liga outfit Getafe.
