Norwich City’s season ended in disappointment when they lost 5-1 on the road at Sheffield Wednesday.
Goals from Atdhe Huhui, Fernando Forestieri and Andre Frederico Venancio were enough for the hosts.
A late goal from Timm Klose closed the gap but overall it was a disappointing finish to what has been an underwhelming campaign for the Norwich side.
Here is how we rated the Norwich players after the game.
Angus Gunn - 5
Did well, in what could be his last game for the Canaries. Made a fantastic save in the second half to deny Forestieri.
Harrison Reed - 6
Seemingly the only player who cared. Ran his heart out. Got to keep him for next season.
Timm Klose - 4
Scored a meaningless goal, but on the whole had a day to forget.
Christoph Zimmerman - 3
Gave Wednesday their second with an awful back pass. Day to forget.
Jamal Lewis - 4
Did okay, and showed some promise in the second half. Still not convinced, however.
Tom Trybull - 5
Did his usual game, nothing special but not bad.
Moritz Leitner - 5
Moritz had another decent performance. Norwich should be looking at a permanent move.
Onel Hernandez - 4
Did okay but his touches in the final third weren’t good enough.
James Maddison - NA
Went off injured, then returned after the 90 on crutches. Possible ACL injury.
Josh Murphy - 1
I’ve not seen a player play as badly as Josh Murphy did today in quite a long time. He didn’t look like he even cared for half the game, and for a winger he hardly shows any pace.
Nelson Oliveria - 2
Another likely final game, Oliveira should’ve netted on multiple occasions, but his selfishness and lack of any heading ability again cost Norwich. Good Riddance if he leaves.
Ivo Pinto - 4
Came on early for Maddison, and did well considering he picked up a knock.
