Norwich City youngster pens new deal at Carrow Road

Norwich City have been boosted by the news that young goalkeeper Aston Oxborough has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The club’s official website confirmed that the 19-year-old will remain at the club until 2020 with the new deal.

The new contract is also said to include an option for a third year.

Oxborough is one of the most highly-rated young players at the club and has been training with the first-team for large spells of the season.

Norwich City will be hoping that Oxborough is the latest name to come through an academy that has produced several talented players in the past.

After pledging his immediate future to the club, he expressed his delight at finally securing a new deal.

It’s always been about the next contract and getting as high as I can. Being a local lad, it means a lot more. Norwich is a team I’ve supported since I was very young, so it’s special.

Oxborough has been a regular for Norwich’s side in the Premier League 2 this season and he’ll set his sights firmly on a place in the first-team squad going forward.
