Edwards’ loan was reportedly cut short due to attitude problems

Following Norwich’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Tuesday night, manager Daniel Farke revealed that Marcus Edwards has returned to Tottenham Hotspur, with his loan spell being cut short.

The young midfielder joined Norwich in the January transfer window on a temporary basis until the end of the season but made just one appearance for the Canaries.

Although Farke cited ‘personal reasons’ for why Edwards has returned to Spurs, it’s been claimed by the Telegraph that the real reason behind the decision was based on the youngster’s attitude problems.

As per the report, Edwards’ time-keeping at Norwich was reportedly unimpressive, with it being claimed that the Spurs prospect failed to attend one single training session on time under Farke.

It’s also claimed by the Telegraph that Edwards failed to engage and build relationships with the existing members of the Norwich squad, contributing to his torrid spell at Carrow Road.

Edwards will hope to continue his development with Tottenham until the end of the season now.
