Norwich City Player Ratings: Ipswich (H)

Norwich City were able to rescue a point in dramatic circumstances against Ipswich Town this afternoon.

It was a tightly-contested East Anglian derby, with both sides fighting for every second ball, making for a scrappy and gritty affair.

Ipswich started brightly but Norwich were able to snuff out their early threat with consummate ease. The Tractor Boys headed in at the interval having posed the greatest danger, but the Canaries remained considerably comfortable.

Norwich came out firing, though, and dominated large periods of the second half. James Maddison came close with two free-kicks but was thwarted by Bartosz Bialkowski. Timm Klose was guilty, also, of missing a clear chance from close-range.

Ipswich thought they had secured their first win in the derby in a decade as, against the run of play, Luke Chambers was able to find space in the box to head home from a corner.

However, Klose redeemed himself after his earlier miss in the dying stages of stoppage time as he rose highest to power in a floated cross from Grant Hanley.

The spoils were shared on the day but Norwich will undoubtedly be the happier of the two sides following the incredible late finish.

Here are our player ratings for the Canaries.
