Norwich sign Leitner on loan deal

Norwich City have today confirmed the signing of Mortiz Leitner on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Augsburg man is the third player to join the club today, following the additions of Onel Hernandez and Dennis Srbeny.

Leitner is a central midfielder and will be hoping to provide additional quality, as Norwich push for an unlikely play-off place this season.

The 25-year-old has played for clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Lazio in his career and was once tipped for big things during his younger days.

Leitner moved to Augsburg in the January transfer window last year but has recently found first-team opportunities limited.

He will now look to revitalise himself and find his best form in a Canaries shirt, helping his compatriot Farke to achieve a strong end to the season.
