Farke confirms he expects Cameron Jerome to leave

Norwich are poised to complete their second high-profile sale of the month as Daniel Farke confirms that striker Cameron Jerome is set to complete a move away from Carrow Road.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the Canaries’ FA Cup third round replay against Chelsea, Farke stated that he expects there will be a deal agreed that sees Jerome leave the club, with Championship high-fliers Derby set to sign the striker.

Cameron Jerome had the day off today to sort his future. He’s close to a decision and won’t travel with us. We expect there will be a deal.

Farke goes on to state that the decision to allow him to leave the club was not an easy one, and the club will now look to strengthen in the attacking areas once his move is completed.

With Cameron, we have taken the decision that if everything is fine between the clubs, we will do it. It was a tricky decision.

If Cameron goes, there is space in the squad. We are looking to strengthen in the striking areas.

Norwich recently welcomed highly-rated Tottenham attacking midfielder Marcus Edwards to the club on loan in wake of Alex Pritchard completing a £14m move to Huddersfield last week, but the club are expected to make further moves to bolster their squad before the transfer window shuts in a little over two weeks time.

matchday.
