Marcel Franke to join Dynamo Dresden on loan

Norwich City have confirmed that defender Marcel Franke will join Dynamo Dresden on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season.

Franke is currently regarded only as a squad player at Norwich and has been sent back to Germany in order to provide him with more valuable first-team game time.

Norwich signed the 24-year-old from Greuther Furth as Daniel Farke overhauled his new side in the summer, but he has flattered to deceive with the Canaries so far.

Franke will make the switch to Dresden when the January transfer window opens and is poised to return to Carrow Road at the end of the season.

The defender has struggled to properly adapt to life in the Championship and will hope to benefit from his time away from the club in the New Year.
