Norwich to battle for Northern Ireland winger Jordan Jones

Norwich look set to do battle with Premier League side Burnley for the signature of Northern Ireland winger Jordan Jones.

The Daily Mail reports that both clubs are keeping tabs on the player as they look to strengthen their respective squads ahead of the January transfer window.

Jones has been a regular for Kilmarnock this season in the Scottish Premier League, who are currently managed by former West Brom and Reading boss Steve Clarke.

After a number of impressive performances, Michael O’Neill called the youngster up to the Northern Ireland squad for their World Cup play-off against Switzerland.

O’Neill is already backing the 23-year-old to develop into a Premier League footballer in the near future.

Jones came through the ranks at Middlesbrough but moved to Scotland in 2016 in search of regular first-team football after an off-the-field incident led to his release.

After a disappointing start to life in England, Daniel Farke will be keen to strengthen his squad in the new year with the Canaries languishing in mid-table.
