Raggett set for Norwich debut in FA Cup third round

Norwich City defender Sean Raggett, who’s currently on loan at Lincoln City, is expected to make his debut for the Canaries in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Evening News reports that Norwich denied Lincoln the chance to play Raggett in their FA Cup meeting with AFC Wimbledon in order to avoid the player being cup-tied upon his return in January.

Lincoln manager Danny Cowley confirmed to the Lincolnshire Echo, that the player could feature in the cup competition.

They’re planning to involve him in that game and, if they do, that would be brilliant for Sean. They’re two months away from entering the third round but that is their thinking at present.

Raggett joined Norwich in the summer for a fee reported to be in the region of £250,000 but was loaned back to Lincoln City until January to continue his development in the Football League following their promotion.

The defender has remained a key figure in the Lincoln squad with several impressive performances this season.

Raggett was the FA Cup hero for Cowley’s men last season when they beat Premier League side Burnley away from home in their historic cup run.
