Norwich see loan bid for West Brom midfielder rejected

Norwich have seen a loan bid for West Brom midfielder Sam Field rejected, according to a report from the Express and Star.

Field, who plays a central midfielder, is set to leave the Premier League outfit on loan this summer with Tony Pulis keen for the youngster to get some regular game time under his belt.

Fellow Championship sides Derby County, Barnsley and Sheffield United are all said to be interested in the player.

West Brom have been holding off on a deal to let the player leave, despite already rejecting offers, with the Baggies yet to replace Darren Fletcher, who left for Stoke earlier in the transfer window.

The Canaries, who have been busy in this summer’s transfer window, recently announced the signing of Marco Stiepermann from II Bundesliga side VfL Bochum, who can play in a central midfield role, which may put a move for Field in doubt.
