Toni Leistner hopeful of move to England

Norwich City target Toni Leistner is pushing for a move to England this summer, according to Kicker.

2.Bundesliga journalist Jonny Walsh confirms that Leistner is hopeful of moving to England this summer, although it does not appear to be cut and dry.

It has been claimed that Norwich are keen on signing the central defender this summer, who is valued at €3.5m by his club Union Berlin.

Norwich want to bring in the defender to strengthen their side ahead of a promotion push for next season.

Christoph Zimmermann signed for Norwich earlier this summer but is expected to be a back-up option to the starting centre-backs this season.

Timm Klose and Russell Martin are the only other central defenders at the club, with Martin named as club captain for another season earlier this month.

Leistner has one year left on his current deal with Berlin, which could also tempt them in to selling the defender.

He is 26-years-old and has been with Berlin since 2014, racking up 74 league appearances in that time.
