Norwich City have made an enquiry for Newcastle centre-forward Daryl Murphy, according to the Northern Echo.
The report claims that Norwich are interested in the signing the striker and have made contact with Newcastle over a potential deal.
Newcastle are looking to recoup the £3m that they spent on him – when he was signed from Ipswich.
However, Norwich are unwilling to match his valuation up front and are wanting to add a number of clauses into any potential deal.

This means that future payments would be decided on how many goals he scores or if Norwich are promoted to the Premier League or not.
Murphy scored six goals in 17 games last season for Newcastle, as they won the Championship title.
Norwich fans could need some convincing on Murphy, the forward spent five full seasons at East Anglian rivals Ipswich.
The 34-year-old scored 61 times in 207 matches for Ipswich, including 27 Championship goals in one season.
