Harrison Reed has spoken of his excitement at signing for Norwich on a season-long loan.
The club announced today that the midfielder has signed on loan from Premier League side Southampton.
Reed found his opportunities limited at Southampton last season and will now look to gain some valuable minutes under his belt at Norwich in the Championship.
The 22-year-old has only played 30 senior games in his career, with 17 of those being in the Premier League.
Speaking to Norwich’s website, Reed said this:
I had a conversation with the Head Coach and I could tell his philosophy suited me down to the ground.
The last couple of seasons I’ve played as a deep-lying midfielder. I like to get on the ball and keep things ticking over, as well as being aggressive to win it back when we’re out of possession.

I’ve been at Southampton for a long time and this is my first loan move. I’m really excited to come down here, get everything sorted and head to Ireland to meet the lads.
It’s important to integrate yourself as quickly as possible. It’s also important for me to learn how the coach wants me to play so I can make the changes to my game to adapt to that.
The midfielder has spent his whole career at Southampton so far, with this his to be his first loan move away from the club.
Reed was captain of Southampton’s development squad and will add some extra grit to the Norwich midfield.
He becomes Norwich’s fifth summer signing, following Angus Gunn, Mario Vrancic, Marley Watkins and Christoph Zimmerman in the door so far.
Reed could now look to make his first appearance for the club against Lowestoft on Saturday, having joined too late to feature against Cobh Ramblers in the first pre-season match tonight.
