Former Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has expressed his interest in a move to Championship side Aston Villa.
The former England international was released from Norwich at the end of his contract but could be set to stay in the Championship.
According to the Mirror, when asked if he was interested in a move to the West Midlands, Ruddy said “Well, it’s a massive club with a superb infrastructure.

“Everyone knows Villa should be in the Premier League and I would love to be a part of making that happen.”
Ruddy’s Norwich career started in 2010 on loan from Everton. Ruddy helped Norwich gain promotion to the Premier League, where he was signed on a permanent deal. Ruddy gained his first and only international cap the following season, coming off the bench against Italy.
Ruddy was then called up for the Euro 2012 squad before injury saw him ruled out. He went on to make over 230 appearances in a Norwich City shirt, before being released at the end of last season.
