Norwich City have officially confirmed the departure of coach Alan Irvine today on their website.
The club have announced that Irvine will be leaving his role at the club with immediate effect.
This comes after Irvine managed the team for the final ten matches of the 2016/17 Championship season for Norwich.
Irvine stepped in after Alex Neil was relieved of his duties in March, winning five of his ten games in charge, drawing two and losing three.

Notable games in his care included a 2-0 win over promoted Brighton and a 7-1 win over play-off finalists Reading.
Irvine was Neil’s assistant this season but now says that he wants to get back into management and is looking for his next club for the upcoming season.
Speaking to Norwich’s website, Irvine said this:
I’ve said before that I would review my position in the summer.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 games as Caretaker Manager and that time has made me realise how much I have missed the challenges which come with the manager’s role.
My ambition now is to return to management as quickly as possible. In the meantime I would like to thank the players and staff for their hard work and tremendous support and I wish everyone connected with the Club the very best for the future.
Norwich appointed Daniel Farke as the club’s new head coach last month, bringing in his own assistant, leading many to assume Irvine would leave the club.
