Norwich are hoping to have a new manager in place by the end of May but are still no closer to bringing someone in.
After sacking Alex Neil in March, Alan Irvine took temporary charge of the first-team until the end of the season but it’s understood that they’re looking to go in another direction for their next permanent manager.
The Canaries’ manager search has taken them down the football pyramid and the Independent claim that they are considering Lincoln boss Danny Cowley for the vacant role.
Danny, along with his brother and assistant Nick, have built up quite the resume in non-league football, culminating in securing Lincoln’s promotion back into the Football League in their first season in charge at Sincil Bank.
Having started out at Concord Rangers, the management duo secured three promotions in eight years with the side, taking them into the Conference South, before moving onto Braintree where they were defeated in the Vanarama National League play-off final last season.
Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber is considering approaching the brothers about coming to Carrow Road and it’s understood that, despite the pair signing new deals with Lincoln until 2021, they wouldn’t command an excessive compensation fee.
