The agent of Dutch defender Mitchell Dijks has confirmed his client will join Norwich City on loan, and that he could sign permanently in the summer.
Dick van Burik has confirmed that Norwich manager Alex Neil refused to take no for answer and has persuaded the defender to join on a loan deal.
Dijks has agreed to sign for Norwich on a loan deal until the end of the season, having originally rejected a permanent switch to Carrow Road.
However, it has now been revealed that there is an option to sign him on a permanent deal should Norwich gain promotion to the Premier League.

As quoted by The EDP, he said this:
Norwich City didn’t let him go. Dijks doubted initially, because he doesn’t want to play the next season in the second level. Now he goes to do everything with Norwich.
Alex Neil, the trainer wanted him at all costs and Mitchell finally crossed the line.
Norwich had agreed a €4m fee with Ajax for Dijks but the defender rejected the move after visiting the training ground and talks with the manager Alex Neil.
The 23-year-old has 18 months left on his contract at Ajax and could be tempted into a summer switch to Norwich if they are to be promoted.
Norwich currently sit 8th in the Championship but could mount a late promotion push – much like two seasons previous.
Dijks is now expected to arrive in Norwich today for a medical and to sign his contract.
