Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert is eyeing an ambitious move to sign Norwich City winger Josh Murphy, despite the fact that he’s only just signed a new deal with the Canaries.
According to a report by James Nursey of The Mirror, Lambert was eyeing a move for the 21-year-old before he signed his new four-and-a-half year contract with Norwich but he’s still willing to do a deal to sign him now, although he’s fully aware that any fee has just increased dramatically.

Murphy is not a regular starter for Norwich and Nursey suggests that as the Canaries might need to sell players before they can buy, the winger could be a sellable asset.
In truth, it’s very difficult to see the player going anywhere now. Despite the fact he’s not a regular starter, he’s clearly well thought of at Norwich, hence the bumper contract extension.
Lambert is likely going to have to look elsewhere for a winger in this window.
