Norwich’s January recruitment plans have taken a major blow after Dutch duo Mitchell Dijks and Marvin Zeegelaar both turned down the opportunity to move to Carrow Road.
Dijks, as reported by the BBC, was in Norwich on Wednesday and held talks with the club but his agent has confirmed that he will not be making the move to the Championship.

Norwich also agreed a fee of around €4million with Sporting for Zeegelaar but he too has decided not to join Alex Neil’s squad as he thinks that signing for a club who are currently in the mid-table region of England’s second tier is not a beneficial move for his career at this point.
The news will be a major blow to Norwich and leaves them just a few days to move for other targets, a situation that is far from ideal as Neil looks to get players in so he can mount a serious promotion push.
