Canaries face competition for non-league prospect

Norwich City are battling a number of sides for the signature of Hednesford Town winger Cohen Brammall, according to Graeme Bailey.

The Canaries are going head to head with Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Plymouth Argyle and Shrewsbury Town to secure Brammall in January.

20-year-old Brammall is primarily a left-winger but can play at left-back competently. He has made 23 appearances this season for the Pitmen, who play in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, the seventh tier of English football. Brammall has a solitary goal to his name this campaign.

Brammall joined Hednesford at the start of this season after he was signed from Division One South side Market Drayton. He has helped guide Hednesford to fifth in the table, one place above Spennymoor Town, known for their heroics in this season’s FA Cup.

Norwich currently sit 8th in the Championship following a poor run of results, Their next match is against Reading on Boxing Day.
