Norwich City moved back up to second in the Championship today with a 2-0 win against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium today.
Alex Neil’s side got off to the perfect start – Wes Hoolahan curled a superb cross into the box and Cameron Jerome rose above his man to head the ball into the back of the net – with under two minutes on the clock.
Norwich continued to dominate proceedings but failed to add a second goal before half-time.
They did eventually double their tally, though, when Robbie Brady struck a marvelous strike into the top corner from 20-yards to make it 2-0.
Dave Edwards pulled a goal back for Wolves towards the end of the match, but it was only to be a consolation goal as Norwich held on for the three points.
There were a number of impressive performances for City, with Michael McGovern, Cameron Jerome, Russell Martin and Robbie Brady all on form.
However, I have gone for the brick wall that is Timm Klose.
The Swiss international was a rock at the back throughout the match. He won countless tackles and was dominant in the air.
Klose is, far and away, the best central defender I’ve ever seen play for Norwich in my, albeit relatively short, lifetime.
