Murphy twins targeted by five Premier League sides

After watching Josh Murphy net in a 2-0 defeat to Norwich in the EFL Cup yesterday, Everton are said to be preparing a January bid for the winger, along with his twin brother Jacob, according to the Mirror.

Both came through the academy at Carrow Road together and are enjoying breakthrough seasons in the first team.

Jacob (four goals and one assist in seven appearances) and Josh (two goals and two assists in six appearances) have caught the eye of five Premier League outfits following their great start to the season/

Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are among Premier League clubs scouting the wingers intently, along with the likes of West Brom, Crystal Palace, Hull, and Swansea City.

Both players are under contract until the summer of 2017 and have featured for England up until U20 level, but could be set to make the step up to the Premier League should any of the above clubs make their interest known.

From a Yellow’s perspective, you hope that the Murphy’s would stay and build on what is becoming a dazzling breakthrough season at Carrow Road. With the fans loving their exciting skill and directness, it would surely take a huge bid to prise the wingers away from Alex Neil and Norwich in the immediate future, but if they don’t sign new deals then they could be leaving sooner or later.
