Norwich City moved up to fourth in the Championship today with a 3-2 win over Cardiff at Carrow Road.
It was the same scoreline as when the team’s last met at Carrow Road almost two years ago – with Cameron Jerome a scorer that day as well.
It was ex-Cardiff forward Jerome who opened the scoring. He initially scuffed his shot, but recovered well to fire home from an angle to give City the lead.
Russell Martin then doubled City’s lead when he headed home a fine Jacob Murphy corner.
Ex-Norwich man Anthony Pilkington then came back to haunt his old club by chesting the ball in on the line to make it 2-1.
Josh Murphy then made it 3-1 when he beautifully curled a shot into the far corner from the edge of the box.
Pilkington pulled a consolation goal back in the dying embers of the match, but Norwich held on for the win.
