Norwich City host Valencia in the international Premier League Cup at Carrow Road tonight.
The game comes just under a week after the transfer window closed, with the board, yet again, letting Alex Neil and the fans down by failing to bring in a proven goalscorer, leaving us light up front.
Alex Neil spent the whole summer pleading with the board to bring in two new proven strikers, but ended up signing Nelson Oliveira – who has scored nine Championship goals in his career.
Norwich fans were desperate to see some news signings on deadline day, but the club instead let go of three players out on loan – bringing nobody into the club.
However, all is not completely lost yet. Although Norwich are unable to bring in any new players – they do still have their youth squad.
Norwich have shown by their two 6-1 wins with their reserve/youth sides this season against Coventry and Peterborough that the club have a lot of talented youngsters.
