Norwich to make late move for Enner Valencia

Championship sides Norwich and Aston Villa are readying late window moves for West Ham striker Enner Valencia, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Ecuadorian forward has netted just 10 times for the Hammers since his £12m arrival from Mexican side Pachuca in 2014 following an impressive World Cup campaign and is eager to leave the club.

West Ham’s public pursuit of big-name forwards have led to them recruiting Simone Zaza from Juventus and Andre Ayew from Swansea which has made Valencia expendable.

Aston Villa have already had one bid turned down in recent times, but now Norwich are eager to sign the attacker, who can also play on either wing.

The Canaries have already welcomed Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira to Carrow Road this summer but Alex Neil wants to bring in one more forward before the transfer deadline to bolster his squad for a promotion push, with Valencia one of his top targets to fill the void.
