Norwich ended their unbeaten start to the season today with an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Birmingham away from home.
It was a dreadful performance from Norwich, being nice, and Birmingham were fully deserving of the win.
Birmingham took the lead after Steven Whittaker was easily outdone, with David Davis heading home a cross.
Alex Neil failed to make any changes at half-time, with Whittaker then giving away a penalty – resulting in Clayton Donaldson firing home the second for Birmingham.
Donaldson then added a third for Birmingham, with Alex Tettey playing a poor backpass straight through to the forward who duly converted past Michael McGovern.
Picking a man of the match from this match has been incredibly hard. No one really impressed for Norwich at all so I’ve gone for the best of a bad bunch, although ‘best’ is flattering.
So, my (least rubbish) man of the match is… split between two players…
Jacob Murphy and Ryan Bennett were possibly the only two players on the pitch who weren’t completely poor. I have split the award for the two of them, which does technically mean that Bennett has been man of the match for the last four games. One positive from the game…
