Norwich City moved onto eight points today with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
It was the first East Anglian derby of the season, with the sides having to share the spoils at full-time.
Norwich were the team to strike first. Jonny Howson teed up Cameron Jerome on the edge of the box to calmly stroke the ball into the corner of the net, giving Norwich the lead.
However, Ipswich struck right on the stroke of half-time. Jonas Knudsen fired a rasping strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the box after some poor marking from Howson.
There were few chances in the second half, but Steven Whittaker missed two good opportunities, hitting the post with one.
It was Norwich’s worst performance of the season so far for me, and many people agreed. People have been taking to social media after the game, and here is how people on Twitter have reacted…
Twitter: Alex Neil doesn’t sound like a happy bunny after that. It was a really poor performance but still got a hard earned draw. #ncfc (@JamesFinbow)
Twitter: Thought it was a dreadful performance tbh #ncfc (@wallerboy)
Twitter: Not the greatest performance from our point of view, but a fair point overall. See you at Carrow Road scummers #NCFC (@Alice_Jane92)

Twitter: A poor game, poor selection and a very poor performance from us. So I will happily take the point #ncfc (@alex_sutton85)
Twitter: Another point on the board, but a really scrappy performance. Still undefeated this season, but would have been nice to have gone top #NCFC (@GazPlant)
Twitter: Going by performance, a very good, undeserved point. Going by ability, an awful, lacklustre point. Need to improve defensively #ncfc (@jrgreen16)
Twitter: Not the best performance. Take a point though. Missed Pinto’s runs after HT. Need a decent striker! #otbc #ncfc #canarycall (@matthewelijah20)
Twitter: Not a great performance, dragged down to their level today. But will take a point. Must get a striker asap #ncfc #canarycall (@JimmyFraud)
Twitter: Such a poor performance
should have been all 3 points …. #ncfc (@wseago98)
Twitter: Another point away from home for #ncfc. Not the best performance. Glad I don’t have to watch hoofball every week (@howardwing63)
Twitter: Good point but below par performance. We need to sign a striker!!! #ncfc (@Hammond1612)
Twitter: Quite forgettable Derby. #ncfc tried to rush it for me. Not the best performance but at least we’ve still not lost in 7 to them. (@Jim_Long_03)
Twitter: Another mediocre performance, no plan b. Obvious investment required. Important not to lose. #ncfc (@adampotter92)
Twitter: Good point considering poor performance and glut of injuries…get the strikers bought and find some form and that will do #canarycall #ncfc (@NCFCWales)
Twitter: Poor performance, can play so much better than that! Have to inject some pace into the side. For god sake get a couple of strikers in! #ncfc (@Jparker7398)
Twitter: #Ncfc left slightly bemused that AN elects for Murphy ahead of Canos, but then decides to bring him on as a left winger. We need a Striker (@Hadserver)
Twitter: Jerome took his goal well today but we are in desperate need of a striker who can link up with wes and Naismith #ncfc (@kyleaddle)
Twitter: After watching Whittaker/Murphy performances as subs today, clearly need minimum two decent new signings, one pref a striker #ncfc (@cheltcanary)
Twitter: URGENT: WE NEED A STRIKER!
#ncfc (@MrWilliamHart)
Twitter: Good point but below par performance. We need to sign a striker!!! #ncfc (@Hammond1612)
I think the general consensus is that we need a striker… but it isn’t looking good…
