What a way to start the Championship season? Aye…
Norwich City opened their Championship campaign with a comprehensive 4-1 win against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park to send them top of the Championship after just one match.
Jacob Murphy opened the scoring for Norwich on his first league start for the club. He smashed the ball into the top corner from 25-yards out to give the away side the lead.
Wes Hoolahan then doubled the lead, placing the ball into the bottom corner from inside the box.
Jason Steele then gave Norwich a third, as he bundled the ball into his own goal after a Cameron Jerome header.
Steven Naismith added a fourth, finishing off nicely after Hoolahan placed the ball through the defenders legs.
It was a fantastic team performance from Norwich, with many contenders for man of the match. However, I have gone for Wes Hoolahan as my man of the match!
Not only did he score a fine goal and set up Naismith for his goal, but his overall play was sublime.
He just oozes class. The veteran playmaker ran the show at Ewood Park, with Blackburn defenders fearing him every time he picked up the ball.
