Norwich City have now completed the signing of Alex Pritchard from Tottenham Hotspur on a four-year deal.
Norwich hijacked Brighton’s move for the player by offering higher wages. Norwich matched Brighton’s bid for the midfielder, who has now joined the Canaries.
Pritchard was set for a medical last night with Brighton, before the deal stalled due to interest from Norwich.
The Canaries have now signed the midfielder, as he completes his move to the Championship side. He spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom, but only made three appearances for the Premier League side.
He has now moved down to the Championship, where has can flourish in the Norwich side.
The 23-year-old spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Brentford in the Championship, scoring 12 goals in the process.
He was revered as one of the best players in the league during that season, proving his pedigree in the Championship.
