Norwich lost 3-0 away to Everton today in what is likely to be their last Premier League match for a very long time, over a year at least.
It was a performance from the players and manager that typified our season. Alex Neil’s team selection summed up his mistakes all season; Russell Martin starting centre back, Gary O’Neil in midfield and Cameron Jerome up front with no forwards on the bench. Bringing on Sebastien Bassong at 3-0 down was another substitution that summed up Neil’s poor in-game management.
Everything that happened in the match was all the things that have gone wrong all season. Soft goals conceded, no good goalkeeper to bail us out, poor defending, Jerome missing chances and penalty decisions going against us at both ends. Oh, and not to mention the lack of effort!
Instead of actually picking out a man of the match from the players on the pitch today, I have gone for the Norwich fans as my choice!

Despite poor performances all season from their side and relegation already confirmed, fans still went in their thousands in the early hours of the morning to travel down to Goodison.
I was hoping that the team could show a little bit of effort for those loyal fans, but they didn’t. A massive clear-out is needed in the summer and the only people connected to the club who deserve to be at Carrow Road next season is the fans.
Thank you for your fantastic support this season, hopefully the club can actually show some fight next season to reward you!
