Swiss defender, Timm Klose, has said he can’t wait to be involved in Saturday’s “must win” clash against Aston Villa.
The new signing has already had a taste of life as a Norwich player and made a promising debut despite the Canaries losing 3-0 to Tottenham.
But Klose understands the importance of this weekend’s match and insists he and his teammates are ready for the challenge.
I love these matches. You have a little bit of pressure, that’s for sure, but that’s why we are football players. We’ll go there and fight against them. If we want to stay in this league, we have to win such games, or at least don’t lose them. With our team I am very confident that we’re going to put in a great performance because there is a lot of quality in this team.
Klose will hope that he will be able stop a Villa side from adding to the 15 goals that Norwich have conceded in their last four matches.
But, the Canaries will take confidence from beating Aston Villa in the reverse fixture on the 28th December when goals from Jonny Howson and Dieumerci Mbokani was enough to send Villa back to the Midlands empty-handed.
However, Norwich head to Villa Park having not won since March 1993 and know that they must pick up all three points before facing tricky games against West Ham, Leicester and the ever-improving Chelsea.
