According to TalkSport, Norwich City target Dwight Gayle is set for a move away from Crystal Palace this month. Norwich is one of the possible destinations for the forward, with Newcastle and Derby County also being credited with an interest.
The 25-year-old striker is out-of-favour at Selhurst Park at the moment and is looking to find more regular football and it is thought that he wants to stay in the Premier League after he rejected Bristol City in the summer.
This means that Norwich and Newcastle are the two teams most likely to secure his signature. Norwich will fancy their chances of persuading him to join due to their superior Premier League position to Newcastle. He was close to joining Norwich in the summer, however, Crystal Palace vetoed the move at the last minute after the sale of Glenn Murray to Bournemouth.
Norwich also have less competition for a spot in the forward position, which could be a deciding factor in Gayle’s choice as to whether or not he joins the Canaries during the window this month.
