Welcome to our first man of the match award of the season; what a match to start it off.
Norwich City beat Manchester United at Old Trafford. Just to let that sink in some more; that has never been said in my entire life before today. Cameron Jerome and Alex Tettey scored the goals either side of half-time with Anthony Martial pulling one goal back for the home side.
If you asked Norwich fans right now who their man of the match was then they would almost definitely say Jerome or Tettey and I would agree. My choice is Alexander Tettey.

He had fierce competition in my mind for it. Jerome, Ryan Bennett and Sebastien Bassong were all up there. Yet, I choose Alex Tettey. I would have even if he hadn’t of scored the goal.
It is well known that Tettey is not the best player in possession, but his ball retention today was much better than usual and his tackling was magnificent throughout; if anything, he was carrying Gary O’Neil through the match in the middle.
Of course, he got the goal but it was an all round fantastic performance from the Gullballen finalist!
