On-loan Sheffield Wednesday centre-back Michael Turner wants to turn his season-long loan into a permanent move at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has played just four times for Norwich since Alex Neil’s arrival in January and was shipped out on loan to Fulham on loan for the final month of the season and to Hillsborough in the summer. He was signed by Chris Hughton in the summer of 2012, making over 40 appearances before Norwich were relegated down to the Championship.
Despite having the option to add another year to his contract at Carrow Road, Turner made his long-term ambitions clear when speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, stating that he wanted to remain with the Owls.
I would do [stay at Sheffield Wednesday]. I’ve enjoyed my time here. At the moment I’m just signed up on a season-long loan and all I see that at the moment is another year on my contract at Norwich.
However, the former Sunderland and Hull City anchor did make it apparent that he would wait until the end of the season before making his decision on whether or not to leave Norfolk for South Yorkshire.
I’ll have to weigh it up. I don’t know when, maybe at the end of the season?
